We are happy to announce the opening of a new revolutionary empowerment women’s center and bridal boutique - Maon Le Otzma.
Maon Le Otzma is a new non-profit initiative in Crown Heights that support and empower women and girls. The initiative is a “chesed” factory, a 501(c)3 organization organized under the auspices of Mrs. Lea Povarsky.
This initiative emerged from a confluence of interrelated challenges faced by inner Jewish congregations and other Jewish community organizations.
For decades, Mrs. Povarsky has dedicated her work to brides, youth, women and the community. As a result of her work, she learned the needs and in doing so, initiated the opening of an empowerment center, MAON - home where she addresses the needs.
We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
Our Mission
Support kallahs who struggle with wedding expenses on their sheva brachos outfits and accessories (Hachnosas Kallah, Gemach).
Educate and empower women, who need help with the skills, knowledge and confidence necessary to professional and personal development, to increase their personal and economic self-sufficiency.
Create and train a healthy lifestyle - physically and emotionally.
Nourish the neshma (soul) with shiurim (classes).
Counseling and guidance on state and individual matters in a variety of areas.
Building a strong united home for themselves and their families.
The overall goal is to break the chain of challenges and provide the necessary support and education for women in a variety of areas.
Our Vision
We envision a world in which all girls and women are nurtured and empowered to reach their fullest potential. A world where women are honored for their wisdom, celebrated for their leadership and fulfillment to create changes.
We believe all women can embrace who they are, can define their future and can change the world.
